These new products come in the form of two robotic-assisted interventions that aim to help autistic children’s social and emotional development.TheraPal Home and TheraPal Clinical Assist Aides allow children access to a range of modules for cognitive training, communication practice, and educational learning. In addition, the robotic assistants collect data regarding the child’s progress, providing parents and clinicians with more insight into their strengths and weaknesses.“By using robots that engage and interact with kids, we can get kids with autism to respond more readily.
