Autism Waiver Service Program Open Interest Period
October 17th - 31st, 2020
Autism Waiver Program that provides one-to-one interventions to help children with autism who exhibit severe behavior, social and communication problems through a service called Expanded Habilitation, Education (intensive in-home services and supports).
Special Edition Southwick Zoo Club featuring Creepy Crawly Creatures including: Spiders, Cockroaches, Snakes, and Centipedes. This program is open to all ages. Home and school classrooms that support students with autism are invited to join.
If you have a child with diverse abilities who is turning 22 between March 2020 and July 2021 or are a self-advocate who is turning 22, please complete The Arc of Massachusetts' short survey about the challenges/successes of transitioning during the pandemic. The survey results will be used to help inform advocacy efforts.
There's also a short survey by a collaborative group of stakeholders looking to improve transition and access to adult healthcare for people with neurodevelopment disabilities. Thanks for adding your voice!
NADD is an association of person with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. The Council for Developmental Disabilities has funding through their Council Empowerment Funds for individuals and families to get funding for the registration fee for the NADD Conference.
