Autism Alliance Grant Funding Now Accepting Applications November 1- November 20
The Autism Alliance is happy to announce our Holiday grant cycle. The funding is money we raised through the Fall Flutie 5K and additional funds provided through the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. We would like help families during the holiday season to make this year a little brighter for you and your loved one with autism. Please see link for grant application and guidelines.
Charity Car Show Family Event to benefit the Autism Alliance Charity Car Show Family Event to benefit the Autism Alliance Sunday November 14th | 10am-1pm 11 Apex Dr. Marlborough, MA Araja Oliveria owner of Speedy Auto Body of Malborough and friend of the Autism Alliance community is hosting a charity car show and chose us as the beneficiary! All proceeds raised from the event will go to support families and individuals with autism. This event is open to the public. The charge is $1.00 admission at the entrance. The Autism Alliance will be there, so be sure to stop by and say HI! No registration necessary.
Recreation Programs Zoom Zumba November 10th 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Looking to have some fun and like to dance? Join us for Fun, Friends, & Family Fall Zoom Zumba Series! Licensed Zumba® Fitness instructor, Andria DeSimone will lead an hour-long Zumba class. Advocates Fun, Friends, & Family events are open to individuals with disabilities who are 16 and older. Glee Club November 13th 10:30 -11:30 a.m. The Autism Alliance is back with one of our most popular programs, our Virtual Glee Club for individuals with autism. The group meets monthly and is for ages 18+. The program is a mixture of singing songs, and dance. Click on the link register.
Virtual Sing-along December 4th 1:00 -1:45 p.m. Come and celebrate the songs of the season at our Annual All Ages Holiday Sing-along. We welcome families, and individuals of all ages including siblings and pets to join in this years virtual fun. We would like to Thank the Doug Flutie Jr. Foudation for Sponsoring this Event.
NEW Autism Alliance FREE Weekly After School Club The Autism Alliance Virtual Afterschool Club is underway. The Weekly Club is facilitated by educators from the Southwick's Zoo and showcases many animals you may have never seen before at the zoo! This program is a combination of animals live on screen and video footage, (see list below) those that will appear in video footage for their selected day. NEW support group for parents of young children up to age 10 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Friday November 12th 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. This group focuses on caregivers and provides an opportunity for parents to connect with others facing a similar experience. Participants are welcome to zoom during a noon lunch break at work/or home. Many topics will be discussed, and parents are welcome to bring questions; this program may also include guest speakers via parent special requests. This support group is facilitated by Allison Daigle, CTRS Co-Director of the Autism Alliance. Drop-ins are welcome. No pre-registration necessary.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Andrew Fraser, DMD. Special Needs Dental Care Tuesday December 7th 6:30-7:30 p.m. Dr. Fraser believes every child can achieve their dream smile via customization of each dental appointment. For children with developmental disabilities, dental care succeeds when each child’s unique reactions to their environment are considered. Dr. Fraser is passionate about contributing to Bubble’s already extensive work in tailoring dental procedures to the patient, and he has developed a primarily digital-based system that maximizes his patients’ enjoyment of their visit while maintaining the highest standard of care. Join us to learn more about his practice and ask questions.

Sensory Friendly Community Recreation Invictus Forever | Adaptive Zumba Sunday, November 14, 2021 The MetroWest YMCA, Framingham Youth Session (Ages 5-12): 2:30-3:30 pm Teen/Adult Session (Ages 13+): 3:30-4:30 pm Led by certified Zumba instructor Andria DeSimone, this class is sure to get everyone up and moving to the beat!
